BUXTED PARK

Brief description of fishery:

This fishery is within the Buxted Park, near Uckfield in East Sussex and comprises 3 lakes. 

This fishery comprises 3 lakes.  The club has recently (2023) obtained the lease to fish these lakes and they are presently undergoing work to improve pegs around the lakes. The venue is a local beauty spot and there are many public footpaths around the lakes attracting dog walkers which can be a distraction. Parking is some distance from the lakes.

The Lilly lake is about 1.5 acres in size and as the name suggests, largely covered in lillies. Species include carp to mid teens, bream to 5lb, peach to 2lb plus roach and rudd.

The Hotel Lake is about 1.5 acres in size and has a good head of small carp, roach and rudd.

The Long Lake is the largest of the lakes of about 2.5 acres and contains several islands. The lake contains carp up to mid teens and a good head of bream, plus roach and rudd.
